Chocolate Fudge Cake With pecans and Almonds



Ingredients


For the fudge cake:


200 g dark chocolate 

200 g butter

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans 

3/4 cup ground almonds

2 tablespoons cocoa powder 

Half a bag of baking powder 

5 Eggs


For chocolate Ganache:


100 g dark chocolate 

1 tablespoon butter

3 tablespoons sweet cream



Chocolate Fudge Cake

Preparation

Step 1

Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over hot water( Ben Mary)

Step 2

Mix the chocolate well with the butter until well blended.

Step 3

Beat the eggs and sugar for 6 minutes.

Step 4

Add the melted chocolate to the mixture bowl and beat together for a few minutes.

Step 5

Add cocoa,baking powder and ground almonds to the chocolate and eggs mixture Whisking medium speed.

Step 6

Now, add the pecans to cake batter in folding motions,

Step 7

Grease a 24 cm pan and pour the cake batter into it ,

Flatten nicely and bake in a hot oven 180c degrees for 45 minutes, Or until toothpick comes dry.


Step 8

Meanwhile, make the chocolate ganache: Melt the chocolate with the butter and cream.

Pour over the cake as soon it comes out of the oven.
